The town of Frankenmuth, MI proclaims itself to be “Michigan’s Little Bavaria”and fully embraces this persona. Most of the buildings bear a Franconian-style architecture, the annual beer fest is the third weekend in May, and local restaurants compete to have the best fried chicken in town.
Every year, tourists flock to spend time in this quaint town for the shops, the fried chicken, and the relaxation.
One particular store is the self-proclaimed World’s Largest Christmas Store. After seeing it, I believe it. This year-round holiday fun stop is BRONNER’S CHRISTMAS WONDERLAND- 25 Christmas Ln, Frankenmuth, MI 48734.
According to the website, the store is the size of one and a half football fields.
All I know is this place is gigantic! Anything Christmas related you could want is here. This includes any themed Christmas ornament you could possible want.
Seriously, if you love bacon, volleyball, John Wayne, the accordion, Budweiser, or even tribal masks, or anything in between, THEY HAVE AN ORNAMENT FOR YOU!
Or if you want garlands, lights, Christmas trees, Christmas village accessories, they even expand into Halloween villages (which used to be an addiction of mine, so that section was very hard to pass by), yes, they have all of that, too.
Not to mention the displays throughout the store, including a mini-museum of the store’s founder, Wally Bronner.
Some of their ornaments are really pretty and could make cool non-Christmas apartment decorations. For the record, they do have an online store.
… yet it does not compare to the awe and wonder that is the store itself. Go there. Then go get fried chicken for dinner and stroll around town in a Bavarian stupor.
Until next time, dahlings…
