Mister Ed’s Elephant Museum and Candy Emporium

Salutations, all!

This post is dedicated to the Bagin family, without whom I would never have known about MISTER ED’S ELEPHANT MUSEUM AND CANDY EMPORIUM- 6019 Chambersburg Rd, Orrtanna, PA.

“Mister Ed” Gotwalt has been a driven entrepreneur since he was a child helping raise money for his family. He opened the original Mister Ed’s in 1975 and the business has since then survived relocation, fire, and Santa Claus crashing into trees branches with a hot air balloon (No lie! Go to the website, if you don’t believe me).

Mister Ed’s Elephant Museum and Candy Emporium is exactly what it sounds like: lots of candy and lots of elephants. And an outdoor woodsy area full of other things.

Jason in a fur coat?

Inside is so much sugar as to drive your children into absolute fits.

And, of course, the actual elephant museum, which is free.

They need to feed her some of that fattening candy!

I do think this telephone is kind of cool. I don’t necessarily want it, but it’s cool.

The insane elephant collection + enough candy to drive you insane = an insanely good time!

So if you find yourself needing to get away from the crowds of people in Gettysburg over Fourth of July weekend (… not that I would know about such things… not that I was silly enough to not consider the holiday weekend when planning this section of the trip… moving on), make your way over for candy and random fun at Mister Ed’s.

Until next time, dahlings…
