Mes amis,
The next stop on my way to Pennsylvania was MARVIN’S MARVELOUS MECHANICAL MUSEUM- 31005 Orchard Lake Rd., Farmington Hills, MI.
Listed in the World’s Almanac as one of Top 100 Most Unusual Museums, this gaming room offers vintage and modern coin-operated arcade machines that you can actually play: these vary from racing games to visual displays to fortune tellers and everything in-between.
Check it out: they even have a prop from the original 1944 Boris Karloff film House of Frankenstein.
I remember this machine from years earlier. You pay 50¢ to watch this guy vomit into his bucket of bottles.
I saved those quarters this time because that is not necessarily my thing, but the diverse options are great!
This guy below told me that I would develop an allergy to deodorant and become a private person. He also said my carpets needed cleaning so I should either shell out the money or stop wearing shoes in the house.
He also said it was a good thing there was glass between us. I agreed wholeheartedly.
It’s always a good time at Marvin’s Marvelous Mechanical Museum. This is an eastern Michigan landmark that is not to be missed. Remember to bring plenty of quarters.
Until next time, dahlings…
