Hello, you arachnofanatics and phobics!
Don’t worry, phobics, I’ll be quick about it!
I know there are a few of these around the country, but if you’re passing through Oklahoma, be sure to visit the VW BUG SPIDER- 5400 Moffatt Rd., Lexington, OK.
The Bug has been gutted and made up to look like a large spider. It actually looks kind of cool from the underside.
I thought about trying to crawl up into it, but between unknown structural weaknesses and potentially coming out covered in real spiders, I decided against it.
It is conveniently located next to a church, so if you are scared of spiders, you can stop and pray for protection before venturing out to see it.
